Microsoft Dynamics NAV has been adapted for use in the UK construction industry by the addition of fully integrated functions to deal with the sales application for payment process, retentions, contractor discounts and CITB levy. A subcontractor management / payment system which meets the requirements of CIS regulations has also been added. Dynamics Mobile is used to allow the recording of goods receipts snagging lists and variation orders, from site. A compliance management system allows integration between projects and processes for health and safety purposes.
How much does it cost?
A ten user system (10 users all logged on at the same time) with the Dynamics "Business Essentials" licence with add-on Construction Industry Edition modules will come to about £15000 for the initial investment, and about £4000 ongoing for support and upgrade assurances. Dynamics NAV can cater for up to 250 concurrent users.
